BATTLE OF THE BOOKS

 

Fourth and fifth graders are given the opportunity to participate in the Battle of the Books Literacy Club! Students of all reading levels are invited to participate.

 


 

DOLPHIN RINGERS

 

Join CHVE's Dolphin Ringers! Dolphin Ringers is an after-school music club available to 4th and 5th grade students in the fall. Students will learn how to play hand bells and chimes. You will discover how to read music and work together with other students to create beautiful songs. No experience is necessary — just a willingness to learn and a desire to make music with others.

   


 

CHOIR

Join CHVE's Choir! Choir is a great opportunity for all 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students who love to sing and want to make music with their friends. We will have two sessions (fall and spring) and perform for our families. No experience is necessary — just a love for singing and willingness to work together.

 

 
 

CLAW CLUB

CLAW Club (Clean Land, Air & Water) is CHVE's long standing environmental club. We explore different topics, such as urban ecology and climate change and what kids can do to make a difference. CHVE's CLAW club will meet once a month on a Monday in Ms. Simon's Kindergarten classroom. We will meet from 2:45- 3:40. Pick will be in the bus loop at 3:40. Reminders will be sent by email prior to the meeting.

 

Dates: Sept. 22, Oct. 27, Nov. 17 Dec. 15, Jan. 26, Feb. 23, Mar. 23 , Apr. 20 and May 4.

  

  

DOLPHIN CLUB - AFTER SCHOOL CARE

Dolphin Club is the After School Care program for Cherry Hills Village Elementary. This program is available to any children who are currently attending CHVE. 

 

 


 
 

Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade are invited to join the Cherry Hills Village intramural program, which is an extension of physical education activities. Each class will be from 2:45 – 3:25 afterschool.

 


 

STUDENT COUNCIL 

Student Council is a select group of students who demonstrate leadership, trustworthiness, honesty, integrity and responsibility.

 

What is the purpose of Student Council?

  • Develop Leadership skills
  • Promote communication between students, teachers and administration
  • Provide opportunities for students to participate in school and community projects.

All Pro Dad

All Pro Dad is a special program at CHVE that offers dads the chance to spend meaningful, quality time with their children before school. Through monthly gatherings, fathers and kids connect over guided discussions on important topics, fostering deeper relationships.

NEW! Bloom Girls Club: 

A gathering for girls in grades 1–5 hosted by CHVE moms.

 

Our goal is to create a space where young girls can grow in kindness, friendship, and love for themselves and others. While our message is rooted in faith-based values, everyone is welcome — no specific faith background is required to join.

 

We’ll meet once a month before school on the second Wednesday in La Tronica.

 

Our first meeting is Wednesday, October 8th at 7 am.

Cub Scouts Pack 711

 

K-5 boys and girls are invited to join Cub Scouts Pack 711.  Meetings are generally Thursday evenings twice a month.  Activities include building cars and boats, launching rockets, playing games, and learning about the principles of Scouting.

CODING & ROBOTICS 

Students will learn about 3D design, modeling and printing, engineering and robotics including coding in Minecraft. STEAM concepts with real-world problems: Students will learn how to use STEAM concepts in their everyday life and apply it to coding.

Girls on the Run is a transformational physical activity based positive youth development program for girls in 3rd through 5th grade.

KIDSTAGE

 

KidStage is a theatre and acting class for kids! The curriculum includes concentration, teamwork, improvisation, movement, voice and basic theatre terminology. At the end of the class, KidStage kids will perform for peers and parents. All classes are taught by trained instructors, whose goal it is to teach your child about the excitement of theatre, improve your child’s self-confidence, and to provide a safe, fun and interesting environment. KidStage will strengthen your child’s confidence as well as build teamwork, leadership, reading, and vocabulary!


 

MINI BRUINS DANCE TEAM

 

Learn technique, cheers, sidelines, and multiple dances! Dancers will perform at two high school-affiliated events and an end-of-year showcase! 


      

Reach Out Jr. (grades K-2)

CHVE Reach Out Jr. is a program designed for K-2 students to explore the values of philanthropy and community engagement in fun, age-appropriate ways. Through meaningful projects with local organizations, students learn the importance of kindness, generosity, and teamwork while gaining hands-on experience in helping others. 

 

The group meets in La Tronica from 1:45-2:45. This year we are not requiring a parent to be present, but we will need all parents to fill out a sign up genius so we know who is attending. The Gathering Place: A welcoming place in Denver where women and children who don’t have a home can come for meals, clothes, learning, and support.
 

December 10, 2025

Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation: A group that helps Children’s Hospital Colorado care for sick and injured kids by supporting doctors, nurses, medicine, and fun activities to make kids feel better.


March 11, 2026

Project Our Town: A Denver nonprofit that invites families and volunteers of all ages to join projects that help people in need, like making care kits for kids in foster care, meals for people who are hungry, and gifts for seniors.


April 22, 2026

Note: Reach Out Sr. (Grades 3-5) will be managed by the Student Council.


 

Our after-school enrichment curriculum draws primarily from the SFM level 1 and Level 2 Piano Workbooks along with specialized games, harmonic and rhythmic ear training, and learning songs. Every student has their own keyboard and headphones in class and after discussing concepts as a group students are then able to immediately implement them. The learning environment is extremely fun, engaging, and upbeat.

 


Come learn how to play tennis and pickleball with us! We
spend half of the time playing tennis, and the other half
playing pickleball. We will bring specialized balls, portable
nets, small racquets, and tons of fun!
