Principal's Message

Welcome to Cherry Hills Village Elementary School!

From the moment you walk into Cherry Hills Village Elementary you can feel the difference that an involved community makes at a school. I consider it an honor and privilege to serve this exceptional learning community. Our staff will continue to build upon the rich and vibrant history of Cherry Hills Village Elementary School and to ensure that we deliver a caring, rigorous and developmentally appropriate learning environment for each of our wonderful students.

Through collaborative and targeted work, we can continue improve the academics, engagement and character of our students. Due in part to the support of the Cherry Creek School District and our highly involved PTCO and parent community, we are able to offer outstanding programming including a variety of special education and intervention programming, engaging access to the latest innovative technology education, strong physical education and arts programs, and a variety of after school clubs and activities.

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to build upon our school-wide Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) program that focuses on behaviors that support learning and positive relationships. We have building-wide expectations we call our High Five Behaviors – Be Safe, Be Ready, Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be Your Best Self. In order to help students reach their personal behavior and academic goals, we use age appropriate lessons that help teach character development, self-regulation and executive functioning skills.

My daily goal is to ensure that every student feels safe at school so that they can experience the joy of learning each day. I also strive to be the servant leader that our staff and learning community deserves who will work to continue to improve this wonderful school year after year.

I look forward to working with the staff, children and families of the Cherry Hills Village community as we continue to strive for educational excellence.
