Cherry Hills Village Elementary School PTCO

2020 Cherry Hills Village Chess Classes

The class will be structured teaching in the first half hour and then the students will play each other the second half hour while Todd gives suggestions, answers questions, and helps the students to better understand chess strategies. The students will be introduced to all phases of the game, etiquette, tactics, and strategies. No prior chess knowledge is necessary. K-5th grade welcome.

All Classes meet in the Library and run from 2:50-3:45, after school. You must commit to be on time to pick up your kids at 3:45 or earlier as I have private lessons at my house afterwards.

Younger Class (K-3): Jan 14 & 28; Feb 11; March 10 & 31; April 14 & 28; May 12

Older Class (3-5): Jan 7 & 21; Feb 4 & 25; March 24; April 7 & 21; May 5

Contact Todd at 303-770-6696 (home) if you have any questions.

As each class meets on alternate weeks, you can sign up for more both classes.  Class dues are $160 per class, whether you attend each session or not. Please mark the dates of the class down in your calendar as there are a few skips from every other week. If you send your child on the wrong week, you will be responsible to come to the school and pick them up from the main office - they will not be allowed to stay as each class will be full.

Please make out and mail your check to Colorado Master Chess, 1 Red Fox Lane; Englewood, CO 80111 as soon as possible to reserve a space as the classes will fill up quickly.
