The Cultural Enrichement program was thrilled to present two assemblies this morning. The Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Company performed first for grades 3, 4 and 5. And then for kindergarten, 1 and 2. There were seven dancers who hailed from all over the United States. The performance was called “The History of Dance”. They taught the children about and performed dances in the following styles: West African, Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop. Then they broke the kids into groups and taught them a few moves and they got to perform.
All in all, it was a fantastic way to celebrate the Arts, diversity, and one of the most established cultural institutions in the Denver area.
